We all have our very own unique style. Yet trends often come along and have us trying out new styles that we would never before worn. We often look to social media influencers and celebrities to determine what we be hot in the coming season. But while fashion trends shift and change, this year held some clear favorites as far as makeup, footwear, and clothing. We hope you get some inspiration to incorporate these trends into your own style:
-
1. Maxi skirts
Long skirts may be comfortable, but the stylish set would never know it, especially when they are paired with a crop top or body suit for a perfectly elegant look. Maxi skirts are so transitional for spring because they keep the bottom half of your body warm on cool spring nights, but allow you to wear virtually any type of top or footwear (e.gsneakers, pumps, sandals, flats, ankle boots) and still look tres chic. Mix and match with denim, leather, or suit jackets to really round out the look you’re going for.
-
2. Layer accessories for an edgy look
Like shoes and handbags, accessories–like necklaces, bracelets and rings—can add glam or a pop or color or texture to an outfit. The metal, in this case, really doesn’t matter. We’re seeing celebs mixing rose gold, copper, gold and sterling together in stacks of necklaces and bangle bracelets. You can instantly update a monochromatic outfit with thick layers of necklaces and bangles.
-
3. Bold makeup as an accessory
You don’t need a thousand dollar handbag on your arm to give your look some glam. Suddenly, a fiery pout is all you need to make a statement! And thanks to the HBO grand slam hit, Euphoria, glitter is taking the stage—on lips, eyes, cheeks, and hairlines. The smokey-glitter eye is all the rage, with gray, caramel or brown matte shadow outlined by metallic finishes—applied gently over the entire eyelid. This effect of glitter can instantly make your office makeup look date night.
-
4. Pattern sets
Do you want to look put together even though you’re not? A patterned set (top and pants, shorts, or skirt) is really saving the day. Matching two-piece pants or skirt sets in bold plaids, argyles, gingham, polkadots, and herringbone are taking center stage at celebrity galas. Why? They may look amazingly designer chic, but really they are ready to wear virtually anywhere.

5. White boots
White boots are hot this spring and summer season! We started seasoning white ankle boots this fall and winter (not a faux pas any longer) stuttering the runways and the celeb circuits. But this spring and summer you can expect to see more white footwear on trend–as far as leather ankle booties, pumps, sandals, and loafers. And to be honest, as long as the color is white, you can pick your footwear style. White is the new hue, and it’s versatile so you can wear white boots with almost any other color in your closet.
